Sunday 11th May
The first 2008 meeting of 'Friends' will take place in the Education Department of the new museum on Sunday 11th May starting at 11.a.m. when we will be welcoming speakers Andrew Casey and Jill Newsham to share their knowledge about Art Deco Wedgwood and the Harrods Experiment of 1934. Both are experts in their field and are well worth our attention.
As a ‘taster’ to the new museum galleries which will open its doors to the public in September, June Bonell will present an overview of the Wedgwood-inspired objects produced by Britain’s most talented designers for Fashion Week 2001-2002 which will form an integral part of the new displays.
The entrance fee of £5.00 will include refreshments in the afternoon.
Please email June Bonell to let her know if you are attending.
